Brand Networks Integrates With New Instagram Ads Offering

Company Is Among the First to Test Ads with Instagram’s Ads API

BOSTON, MA.—August 4, 2015—Brand Networks, the leading provider of relevance-driven social marketing and advertising software, today announced it is one of the first Facebook Marketing Partners to build on the recently launched Instagram Ads API. Brand Networks will help brands deliver compelling creative content on Instagram, which boasts 300 million monthly active users, and is poised to bring in $2.81 billion in worldwide mobile advertising revenues by 2017 according to a recent report by eMarketer.

“Advertisers have been eagerly awaiting the chance to bring their content to Instagram,” said Jamie Tedford, CEO and co-founder of Brand Networks. “Now, Instagram is bringing on experienced Facebook Marketing Partners to help brands use the same advanced Facebook targeting tools to create and deliver relevance-driven ad campaigns that increase ROI by reaching the right audience, at the right place and time. This is one the most anticipated moments in the evolution of advertising, and we expect the platform’s offering will continue to expand rapidly.”

The first Instagram ads were unveiled to a select group of advertisers in November 2013 and last month, the company expanded its program with the announcement of an upcoming self-service offering. Partnering with Brand Networks, brands will have access to an extended version of its award-winning Facebook advertising tool, including support for the full range of advanced targeting capabilities offered by Facebook. Brands also benefit from the ability to distribute and edit live Instagram ads in bulk to optimize large social campaigns quickly, and create specific targeting guidelines that can be easily saved and re-used in later campaigns. Additionally, Brand Networks is currently supporting new ad formats made available on Instagram including link ads, video ads and mobile app install ads. Brand Networks will continue to evolve its Instagram offering throughout 2015, with plans to extend a variety of proprietary features to the platform, including:

  • RelevanceRank score to surface a brand’s top organic content so it can be quickly promoted, or to identify its most relevant paid media with potential for expansion.
  • Real-world event data triggers through Brand Networks’ Open Signals platform for ultra-relevant, contextual advertising.
  • Automation support with Optimize Now, which monitors ads around the clock and optimizes performance algorithmically.
  • Collision Management Score to reveal sources of targeting overlap and subsequent cost inflation due to self-competition in the auction, with targeting recommendations to help users identify unaddressed opportunities.

“Organically, Instagram has been a strong channel for the Chick-fil-A brand. Thus, the opportunity to partner with Brand Networks for Instagram’s new Ads API was an obvious call,” said David Williams, Social & Digital Marketing, Chick-fil-A, Inc. “It also came at a fortuitous time as it fell perfectly to support Cow Appreciation Day. The brand lift we saw reinforces our conviction that Instagram excels at showcasing image-focused content, highlighting real-time events, and complementing Facebook tactics. We’re also proud to know that with Brand Networks’ help, Chick-fil-A was one of the first ads to appear on the platform through the new Instagram Ads API.”

In addition to this new integration with Instagram, Brand Networks is one of the few companies in the world recognized as a Facebook Marketing Partner, Pinterest Marketing Developer Partner, LinkedIn Sponsored Updates and Custom Apps partner and one of the first Twitter Ads API developers. The Brand Networks platform powers over $500 million in social advertising spend for more than 650 of the world’s best known brands and agencies, such as Interpublic Group, WPP, American Express, AT&T, ABInBev, Discover, Yahoo! and Unilever.
